Giorgia is based in Italy in a city called Bari, and she is a Medicinal Chemist by training. Giorgia gained her PhD in Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Bari and the Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT in 2015. She then pursued a Postdoctoral position at the Italian Institute of Technology. At the end of 2016 Giorgia moved to the UK, where she joined Charles River initially as a Medicinal Chemistry Scientist then slowly transitioned to a Computational Chemistry role. In 2020 she joined Pharmacelera, a small start-up from Barcelona, where she helped develop the business alongside working on projects as a CADD scientist. In 2022, Giorgia joined Cresset's Discovery team. As a Computational Chemistry Scientist at Cresset, she provides support for drug discovery and design projects and, most recently, she is also working as a Customer Success Manager for the Solutions team.
