Abstract

Samiron Phukan, Sr. Director, Aragen
Samiron Phukan is Head of CADD and informatics Drug Discovery at Aragen Life Sciences, leading the CADD and informatics group, providing strategic leadership towards implementation of digital transformation and AI/ML based solution in Integrated Drug Discovery projects. Samiron has over 20 years of pharmaceutical industry experience from concept to product in drug discovery and development, including in house and collaborative projects in the field of data analytics /ML guided solutions in Drug Discovery and Development.
Simon Dawson, Principal Product Manager, Torx, Cresset
Simon Dawson is Principal Product Manager for Torx Software, where he oversees all aspects of development and management of the Torx DMTA solution. Simon spent 10 years as a synthetic chemist, specializing in the design and synthesis of peptidomimetics targeting protein-protein interactions, often in partnership with the pharmaceutical industry. He subsequently moved into Product Management, delivering software solutions and consulting services for several Fortune 500 companies.
Tim Cheeseright, Chief Executive Officer, Cresset
After a DPhil in Chemistry at the University of Oxford and Post Docs at the University of Manchester and Institute of Cancer Research, Tim gained experience as a medicinal chemist and a molecular modeler at Peptide Therapeutics and Medivir. He joined Cresset in 2002 as Chief Applications Scientist, applying Cresset technology to solve the problems of our clients. He has been instrumental in developing the easy-to-use scientific software that characterizes a Cresset product today. In 2021, Tim was pivotal in the founding of Torx Software, a Cresset joint venture with Elixir software. In 2024, Tim became CEO of Cresset, taking responsibility for overseeing the company’s business strategy, activities, and operations. Central to Tim’s career has been the implementation of accessible, innovative science and technology that enhances drug discovery IP, streamlines processes, and shortens development timelines.
